The sun rises, so I rise

To dust

Work begins
02:06
|
|||
clouds of creation
swirl about our heads
ready and eager
to pluck
our feet are planted
to the ground
food no longer fills me
warmth no longer warms me
sleep does not rest me
like this weather
brewing above my head
|

I have yet
02:37
|
|||
I have yet
to clear the snow
from your stone
where you remain
for a second season
and stand above you
looking down
surrounded by
a garden of past lives
I will beg you to forgive me
|

I always ruin
02:17
|
|||
I always ruin
the beauty of a moment
by asking why

Here
02:23
|
|||
Here, our revelations are jolted from their sleep
prolonged and cold we shake off the cobwebs formed while living well
we enter hungry as cannibals pacing
fixed upon our growling stomachs
eager to digest the world
Here, we disassemble our habits
and set our old selves aflame
the wind, tired of carrying the ashes
of our new skin
sets them upon a field of wildflowers
the seeds that brought them into being
born of our creations
they lay waiting for all to pick
and bundle in their arms
together we carry them to all ends of infinity
|

To see you
02:16
|
|||
You come towards me
in your current form
vibrating
unaware perhaps
of where you've been
I am unaware of where i've been
my tracks stretch behind me like a river
they eclipse the horizon as it curves
what lands have they crossed?
what violence have they witnessed?
who have they embraced?
before arriving as a seed
within my head
and sprouting
